Two Cats & Company is an Australian owned business and is based in Stafford Heights in the leafy northern suburbs of Brisbane in Queensland Australia. Our clients range from small businesses to global corporations. We specialise in cost effective website development for small to medium sized companies and non-profit organisations.

We offer a range of multimedia and internet/intranet, graphic design, desk-top publishing and photography services. We believe in consultation and advice to help you make the right decisions.

I am the Owner/Manager of Two Cats & Company Pty Ltd which I established in 2001. I have, however been actively involved in website design and development since 1998 and in the printing and graphic industry since 1981.

1981 - 1984 I completed a Graphic Reproduction Apprenticeship and worked in the printing industry in South Africa as a Bench Planner and Scanner Operator.

1984 to 1989 I worked in the UK where I learned the process of planning straight to negative and positive printing plates.

1989 I migrated to Australia and worked as a bench planner. in 1993 I moved into the computer world. The first computer system I worked on was a large pagination Crossfield system. I also worked on Write technologies Jupiter system.

Apple Macintosh arrived and my work station reduced by 70% and the software packages to learn by 270%.

The PC made an unsteady apperance and by 1998 I was working in the Pre-press and Graphic Design departments on both platforms. I was introduced to the World Wide Web at this time and started learning HTML.

During this period I worked in both hands on and managerial positions.

From 1998 to 2001 I worked for several Advertising Agencies, Government Departments and Corporations as a freelance Graphic Designer acquiring new skills and experience in multimedia and web development.

I have since completed courses in HTML/XHTML, XML PHP, ASP and JavaScript programming, database development and MySQL and am at present continuing my studies in online technology. Since 2001 I have been contracted to work on major intranet and conference projects for BHP Billiton and web development for AIOP (Australian Institute of Office Professionals). I am also proud to have numerous small to medium sized companies as clients.

I would like to thank Two Cats & Company for a great effort in re-developing our website www.aiop.com.au,

We decided in mid 2006 it was time to re-develop and upgrade our website and Two Cats & Company. was recommended to us by a current user. Laurence spoke in plain, easy to understand terminology, explaining all the possibilities so we could understand.

We set up our first telephone meeting with Laurence, and we went over our objectives for the re-development of our website. Being unaware of the possibilities it was a real breath of fresh air to have these explained to us.

The whole design and operation of the website was discussed in detail with us. Our objective was a website that reflected what we offer to our members, with the latest technology, and ease of navigation. Laurence showed us different possibilities, and made some suggestions on what path to take.

When we need to update our site content, it is so simple for our website administrators to update the website.
